This Independence Day, understand that this day is in jeopardy of being lost to history. Understand that the movements we have seen in the streets not only target the President and what he stands for, but the rest of America as well. This includes our culture, identity, and heritage, which the 4th of July is a part of. As Donald Trump said in his speech in front of Mount Rushmore last night:
“Their goal is not a better America. Their goal is to end America.”
It has been a long time since one of our leaders has said something so profound and true. The Marxists in the streets chant “No borders, no wall, no USA at all!” because that is precisely what they want. Defunding ICE and the police, two common mantras of the same crowd, are crucial steps in envisioning their worldview.
Aside from America’s institutions, people like us that cherish our nation’s founding are also targeted for elimination. “No USA at all!” means no more Americans, and there is nothing much more American than the average citizen from the nation’s interior coming together with their fellow countrymen in a united display of common heritage and patriotism.
“They think the American people are weak and soft and submissive, but no, the American people are strong and proud and they will not allow our country and all of its values, history, and culture to be taken from them.”
“In [America’s] place, they want power for themselves, but just as patriots did in centuries past, the American people will stand in their way and we will win and win quickly and with great dignity.”
These quotes from the President last night about the American people ring true in the symbolic gesture of celebrating the Fourth of July. Crazed psychopaths on Twitter repeat in all caps that celebration of the Fourth is a celebration of white supremacy and oppression, but what they see as evil, we see as what made us who we are. We aren’t a country of evil oppressors, or “white supremacists.” We are Americans, and people who slander our name like that are mortally wrong and will be proven so.
And so in spite of their lamentations, cries, and bad-faith devil’s advocateering, we will still celebrate today just the same as we always have. Their radical theory will never strip us of our lifestyle no matter how hard they try. When they see average citizens celebrating their nations, they seethe, and they should seethe. They hate us for who we are.
Keep this in mind as you spend time with your family and friends today lighting fireworks, having cookouts, and generally having a good time. This year, continuing like you always have on this day every year is a statement; that you will not be intimidated, pressured, and bullied into turning against your own. For the future of this country, we must remain steadfast like this in the years to come.
Have a blessed Fourth of July.
